MONUMENTAL UNIT CONSISTING OF A FOUNTAIN WITH A CAVALRYMAN SCULPTURE OF ALEXANDER THE GREAT
We propose the concept of a dynamic monument.
To realize such a monument we designed a tower, placed at the eastern corner of
the macedonia square, leaving the square itself free.
1st) it´s a viewpoint from wich it is possible to overview the square, parts of the city
and the surrounding landscape
2nd) an atelier for national and international light- and video-artists who work on
different cultural issues (f.e. alexander) and
3rd) it will be a kind of projector-engine, that allows to show the results of the
artists work and build light structures over the surfaces of the square.
The monument itself is in a permanent state of creation/formation, it´s interacting.
This complies with the creative process of permanent occupation with past,
present and future of a society.
