Ein Projekt von Melanie Hollaus
Multi-Media Installation im öffentlichen Raum Innsbrucks. Seit Beginn der 90er Jahre schottet sich Europa immer restriktiver gegen Flüchtlinge und MigrantInnen ab.
Ausgehend von den Flüchtlingstragödien im Mittelmeer, befasste sich das Projekt mit den Grenzziehungen innerhalb und an den Grenzen Europas.
Im Oktober 2009 legte die 23 Meter lange begehbare Bootskonstruktion „Jason 1“ am Karl-Rahner-Platz Innsbruck an. Eine Klanginstallation gab alle acht Stunden über acht Lautsprecherboxen Erzählungen von Flüchtlingen sowie verschiedene Positionen zur EU- Grenzpolitik wieder. Eine Kamera nahm den Platz und damit das Boot auf und übertrug die Aufnahmen sowie die Klanginstallation live ins Internet.
Radio Freirad übertrug die Klanginstallation zeitgleich zur Übertragung am Karl-Rahner-Platz und die Radiodialoge sendeten diese Österreichweit.
Melanie Hollaus in Zusammenarbeit mit Günther Zechberger, Andreas Pronegg, columbosnext, Philipp Huber, Fluchtpunkt, Asylantenheim Götzens, Jugendwohlfahrt Innsbruck.
